A three-year-old Milwaukee girl died Friday afternoon after being struck by a school bus.
According to reports, the accident occurred about 3 p.m. on 28th Street in Milwaukee between Mitchell and Lapham Streets, on the south side. The three-year-old ran into the street toward a relative, who was across the street when she was hit by the school bus.
A neighbor reportedly attempted CPR, but to no avail. The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The students aboard the bus were transferred to another bus and taken home. None of the students were injured in the accident. The accident is under investigation.
